Artist's impressions of building projects are often used by estate agents when selling properties such as barn conversions. They illustrate the way the building will look upon completion, and can be the key to success when presenting the building to a potential client.
They are easily achieved using digital art, by working from photographs of the unrestored building alongside architects' drawings, as show in this example. The benefit of digitally produced illustrations is that they are easily amended until the client's vision of the property is achieved.
Accurate illustrations of new properties and housing developments can also be produced from architectural drawings, accompanied by full details of materials to be used, and photographs of the site.
The illustration above shows how, using a watercolour painting style, a visualisation can be enhanced with additional details such as planting, to soften the building.
